A flat in the Old Town let by the night. It needed a kitchen, two wardrobes and a headboard with sockets, all made to measure, because in an old building the walls wander by two centimetres.
What we did
- Measured the flat as built rather than working from the old floor plan: every carcass was sized for its own recess.
- A kitchen with enamelled fronts, a quartz worktop, an integrated hood and soft closers on every door.
- Two wardrobes: one in the hallway for coats, one in the bedroom with a section for guests’ suitcases.
- An upholstered headboard with hidden lighting and sockets on both sides.
- One brand of hardware throughout the flat, so a broken part is replaced in a day from our own stock.
Timing and money
Four weeks from the survey to the installation, and the installation itself took two days. The budget was 6,200 $ including the built-in appliances. One front was scratched while being carried in and was replaced under warranty within a week.
How it turned out
Guests single out the kitchen in their reviews, and the owner does not spend time chasing furniture makers: the warranty and the spare hardware sit with us.
Services in this case: custom furniture, outfitting, renovation.
