Terrace and balcony furniture

We quote by phone: the price depends on the property, scope and timing

Leave a request

We make outdoor furniture for terraces, balconies, yards and pool surrounds: dining sets, lounge seating, benches with storage, sunbeds and tables with ceramic or stone tops.

Sun, salt and wind

An aluminium frame or thermowood with an oil finish, stainless fixings, and UV-stable fabrics with removable covers. Ordinary garden furniture here fades within a season and corrodes at the fixings soon after — near the sea the bolts go first, long before anything else. Painted steel is a poor choice on the coast regardless of how the paint looks in the shop.

Storage for cushions

The detail that decides whether the set survives: a bench or chest with storage on the terrace itself. If putting cushions away takes a minute, it actually happens; if it means carrying them indoors through the living room, it does not, and the first unexpected rain settles the matter. We build the storage into the seating rather than adding a separate box nobody uses.

Table tops

Porcelain or stone rather than glass or wood: they survive rain, sun and a hot dish without marking, and they do not need sanding every spring. Glass tops are heavy, dangerous in wind and permanently dusty on the coast.

Wind

Light furniture on an exposed terrace becomes a projectile in a storm. We choose weights and shapes that stay put, and for high or open positions we plan where the set is stored during the winter rather than leaving it to chance.

Timing, price and warranty

Production three to four weeks. We quote a range by phone and give a specification after the brief. Warranty: two years on the frame, one on fabrics.

Frequent questions

Why does outdoor furniture fade so fast?

UV and salt. UV-stable fabrics with removable covers and an aluminium frame solve it.

What should the table top be?

Porcelain or stone: it survives rain, sun and hot dishes without marking and needs no annual sanding.

How do I keep the cushions dry?

Storage on the terrace itself. If it takes a minute, it gets done; if it means going indoors, it does not.

Is painted steel suitable on the coast?

No. The fixings corrode first and the paint follows. Aluminium or thermowood with stainless fixings lasts.

What about winter storage?

We plan it at design stage for exposed terraces, including where the set goes and what stays out.
