We clean windows, panoramic glazing, balcony enclosures, shopfronts, glass railings and skylights, inside and out, including frames, sills and tracks.
Why streaks appear
Hard water and household detergent. Once the surface dries, dissolved minerals and soap film stay on the glass as streaks, and the harder you rub the more obvious they become. We use deionised water and professional products with a squeegee, which is why the glass stays clear after drying rather than looking worse in direct sun.
Fixed sections and height
Many panoramic units do not open, so the outside is cleaned externally — from a balcony, a platform, or with rope access where there is no other way. This work depends entirely on the weather: it is not done in wind, both for safety and because the result is ruined immediately. We schedule around the forecast rather than promising a fixed date and cancelling on the morning.
Frames, tracks and drainage
Cleaning the glass and ignoring the rest is the common shortcut. Sand and salt collect in the tracks and wear the rollers; the drainage holes in the frame block and send water onto the sill during heavy rain. We clean the tracks and check the drainage holes as part of the work and tell you if something needs a repair rather than a clean.
How often on the coast
Salt film builds up within a couple of months on the first line, so before the season and mid-summer is the usual schedule for rental properties. For a home twice a year is normally enough, more if you are directly on the water. The view is what the guest is paying for, and it is the cheapest thing to maintain.
