Seven minutes on foot to the pebble beach and ten to the Gonio fortress. There are two shops and a bakery nearby, and the cafes on the seafront work from May to October.

The drawbacks, honestly

Gonio is quieter than Batumi: there is no nightlife and you need to go into the city for entertainment, fifteen minutes by minibus. The beach is pebble rather than sand, which is harder with small children.
