What matters in Mestia
Guests here are trekkers and travellers: they come off the route wet and tired. So the set is built around the practical side rather than the decor: a drying zone for clothes and boots, plenty of hooks, warm duvets, hot tea and dishes in the common area, reliable internet. That is what ends up in the reviews, not the texture of the furniture.
Second, the logistics are long and re-ordering a single item costs disproportionately much. So the set is calculated in full, with a reserve of consumables, so the property gets through the season without unplanned deliveries.
Timing and price
Three to four weeks including delivery and assembly; the work is planned for the warm season. The price depends on the number of rooms and the set level: a range by phone, an estimate after the inspection, with the logistics shown as a separate line.
The common areas of a guest house
In a mountain guest house the common room matters more than the bedroom: people dry their things there, have dinner and swap routes. So the set includes a large sturdy table, chairs that survive being moved every day, a kettle and dishes with a reserve, a sideboard and storage for linen and consumables.
