We make and fit furniture in Akhalsheni: kitchens, wardrobes and walk-in closets, cabinet and upholstered furniture, bathroom units and terrace sets. Ten minutes from our workshop in Batumi.
Damp walls on the slope side
Houses here sit on a gradient with the ground behind them, and the walls on that side hold moisture. A wardrobe standing flush against one of them collects condensation behind the back panel, and the contents smell by spring. We leave a ventilation gap, use moisture-resistant boards with every cut sealed, and if the wall reading is high we say plainly that the wall needs dealing with first — putting new furniture against a wet wall is money spent twice.
The terrace is the main room half the year
Almost every house here has a terrace facing the city and the sea, and it gets used from spring to late autumn. Outdoor furniture has to survive sun, wind and rain: aluminium or thermowood with stainless fixings, UV-stable fabrics with removable covers, and storage for cushions built into the seating so they are actually put away when the weather turns.
Made to the room
Houses built at different times have rooms with level changes, niches and sloping ceilings. Made-to-measure closes the dead strips and turns them into storage, which is why most orders here are for fitted rather than freestanding furniture.
Timing, price and warranty
Measuring and design one week, production three to four weeks, assembly one or two days. Two years on carcass and fittings, one year on outdoor fabrics.
