Sea-facing flats collect a salt film on the glazing within a couple of months, and a view seen through a grey haze is the first thing guests photograph and complain about. Window washing with deionised water is scheduled before the season and again in mid-summer, and fixed panoramic sections are cleaned from outside where access allows.
