Magnetic sand changes the checklist
The black sand here gets into everything — floors, bedding, drains, the washing machine, the gaps in the sofa — and it works as an abrasive. Swept around, it scratches floors and dulls surfaces within a season. Our checklist in Ureki covers the entrance zone, under the beds, shower trays and drains, the sofa and the bed frames specifically, and the vacuum is emptied more often than elsewhere because the sand is heavy. That is what keeps a rental looking new at the end of August.
Week-long family stays
Guests come with children for a week or more. A mid-stay clean with a linen change is worth offering on long bookings: the house stays presentable and the final turnover takes half the time. At changeover the linen load is heavy — several beds, towels, beach towels — so it comes clean from our laundry rather than being washed on site, where it would not dry in this humidity.
Mattresses and upholstery
With children and sand, mattresses and sofas need extraction cleaning at least once a season, and mattress protectors make the next one a formality.
