A short season in the mountains
Visitors come for the high mountain landscape, the villages and the road through the passes, mostly in the warm months. The season is short and demand is modest compared with the coast, and a property here earns in bursts rather than continuously. We give realistic figures before you commit, and where the access or the location will not support bookings we say so.
What guests need up here
Heating that works even in summer evenings, hot water, a clear description of the road and the last stretch to the house, and honest photographs. Guests who travel this far are forgiving about a simple interior and unforgiving about a cold room or a road that turned out harder than described.
Winter is protection, not income
For most properties the winter is about keeping the house intact rather than earning. Pipework is protected against freezing, heating is left on a minimum regime where the house is heated, and visits follow storms and long power cuts. A burst system in a house nobody visits until spring is the most expensive outcome available here.
Fee and reporting
A percentage of revenue with no charge for idle periods, monthly report with receipts. We will tell you if management does not make sense for your property.
